Accommodated mostly by Gandhi, this Ashram is solely constructed using brick and wooden louvered screens with stone floors and ceramic tile roofs.

Week 5 Reflection

Week 5's lecture was really engaging. I enjoyed and was really fascinated by the amount of different ways one can conceal hidden meanings and things, such as the Fedex logo and the Toblerone . I got a lot of ideas from the lecture slides and did my best in integrating them onto my level, besides the sublime I also show more obvious displays of my combination.

Strategy for Concealing

When it came to concealing the letters 'A' and the number 5 in different scales, I thought a lot more about quantities when it came to the number and positioning for the alphabet. I represented my number through placement of entities such as the storage place and the number of entities in a particular area.
Blending the number and the letter together was another thing I thought would be really engaging and interesting, not only does it serve as elements. I focused on the scale and a little more about integration, and even through thinking about how to work these things around each other was engaging.
For the sublime, with reference to the examples shown during the lecture I was thinking of showing my letter through certain positions, and I thought that was really interesting, it was subtle and it mean you had to really look to find it. For the number it is shown through more obvious methods besides the one in large scale, where you have to look from a plan view to find it. This was quite a fun task to do and I enjoyed thinking of ways to show my combination.

Week 3 Lecture Reflection

Going through the different sort of landscape examples from the different artworks really helped give me an idea of how I can define my island further and provide it much more variety in terms of vegetation and entities. I felt that the landscapes I chose helped me link the spots together as best as I can.
